Benefits for municipalities
Sustainability
The climate crisis represents one of the biggest challenges to mankind. The EU requires every member country to massively reduce CO2 emissions as stated in their National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs). Cities and municipalities need to engage with citizens and promote the reduction of CO2 emissions, however, usually they lack creative and innovative ways to do so.
Carpacity offers these cities and municipalities an unconventional campaign to inform car drivers about local mobility offers which they otherwise might not get in contact with. We help municipalities promote sustainability.

Cost reduction
The more traffic, the higher the road maintenance costs for municipalities. However, many municipalities invest in green mobility alternatives but demand is low due to lack of information. Carpacity helps to reduce road maintenance costs and drives up demand for existing mobility alternatives.
Benefits for mobility providers
Customer acquisition
We help a wide range of business clients acquire new customers:
- Alternative mobility providers (e.g. carpooling, car-sharing, paratransit, rental)
- Conventional public transport
- Mobility infrastructure and services (e.g. car park operators, e-charging stations)
Increase in sales
Our clients can expect a high promotional effect that also leads to image improvements and increased sales with existing customers.
How does it work?
Our campaigns usually take four to eight weeks and take place on one or several traffic hot spots (maximum one lane per direction). We add other marketing channels such as print and social media in order to leverage our reach. At the end, we evaluate the campaign success with interviews, questionnaires and traffic sensors:
- How much awareness about mobility and the climate have we created?
- How many customers could be acquired for green mobility providers?
- How much did the average # of people per car increase?
